Signs hiatus is over & you're back at work: You start a blog post & it takes over a week two weeks to complete. Geez...who knew a post on quite possibly the easiest dessert could take SO long!!! J & I finally got our patio up & running (trust me, this was no easy task & a post about it will probably come in a year) & decided to grill because what else does one do on a patio? It has (well had) been brutally hot out & instead of making some super heavy rich dessert, I thought it would be fun to grill some fruit. I've always heard grilled peaches were awesome so I was discussing them with my friend Lauren & she recommended brushing the peaches with maple syrup. So here we are. Maple Glazed Grilled Peaches. These were awesome!! Super easy to make & PERFECT for a summer night. The following day I was discussing the peaches with my cooking queen/old boss, Beth, who asked if I served them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. DAMN IT! I didn't even THINK about adding ice cream, so guess we will have to just make these again!
Serves: 1-2 peaches per person should suffice
How difficult were these to make? Not hard at ALL.
Prep/Grill time: Approx. 20 mins
6-8 Peaches
1/2 cup Maple Syrup
Non-stick grill spray (A MUST!)
Slice peaches in half & scoop out the pits.
Using a pastry brush, lightly glaze peaches inside & out. The syrup may pool a bit in the center, but that's ok!
Place peaches face down on grill.
Grill for approx. 10 minutes until you get those nice grill marks. Is there a better name for that??
Let cool for a few minutes, then enjoy!!
