Kahlua Dessert Dip

While wasting time on, where else, Pinterest, my good friend Kennice pinned a "Cheesecake Fruit Dip".  Instantly intrigued, I clicked on the pin and was taken to Half Baked . 5 Ingredients into "Brown Sugar Fruit Dip" I see "1/3 cup coffee liqueur"and I. Am. Sold.  I decided to rename it Kahlua Dessert Dip because that just sounds more appealing than "Brown Sugar Fruit Dip" in my opinion.  This recipe does make a large amount. In the future, if I am just having it as an after dinner treat, I will probably cut the recipe in half. Any fruit can be dipped, but we stuck with strawberries. I'm probably going to go eat some more once I finish this post, so lets get moving.

Kahlua Dessert Dip
Serves: a lot
Cook time according to Half Baked: Didn't say
Cook time according to Rachel: Well, that depends. It takes 15 minutes to put together, but is supposed to chill for 4 hours. We ate it right away and it was just as good as when we ate it the next day after it had set a bit.
How easy was this for Rachel to make? EASY.

Ingredients

1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup Kahlua (or any coffee liqueur)
1 8 ounce pkg cream cheese, softened
1 cup cool whip, thawed
Fruit to dip

Directions

In a large mixing bowl, beat brown sugar & cream cheese until smooth. Add in sour cream, vanilla & Kahlua. Beat until smooth.

Fold in cool whip. Cover & chill for 4 hours. Sprinkle top of the dip with brown sugar garnish.

Enjoy!!
