I don't make exciting vegetables very often because I don't usually have the energy. However, I needed something to go with the Baked Sweet & Sour Chicken I was making. After googling "Chinese side dish" I came across this recipe from the ever so original website, AllRecipes. It is super easy and anything that involves garlic has me sold.

INGREDIENTS
1/2 lbs green beans
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 cloves garlic (I used 3) thinly sliced
1 tbsp white sugar
2 tbsp oyster sauce (good luck finding this in the grocery store)
2 tsp soy sauce
Note: I spent 20 mins looking for oyster sauce
and never found it. So I used more soy sauce.
Heat sesame oil in large skillet over med-high eat. Add in garlic. Be careful not to burn garlic. (I burned some so I added more) Cook until edges turn slightly brown (20 seconds).
Add in green beans. Cook & stirl until beans begin to soften, about 5 minutes.
Stir in sugar & soy sauce. Beware the soy sauce doesn't enjoy being cooked and will jump up and attack you. It hurts.
Continue cooking & stirring for several minutes until the beans have attained desire degree of tenderness. Enjoy!
